The world's largest maker of personal computers, is to cut 27,000 jobs by end of 2014
 HP is looking to cut 8% of its workfrce in order to reduce costs by £2.2bn. Hp says it will reinvest the money back into the company

This was a move that is a part of a process to simplfy business processes. With strong sales in the tablet market from the like of Apple, HP is struggling to compete in the tablet market.
HP employs around 350,000 people around the world, of which 20,000 are in the UK. "No part of the business will escape the loss" says an HP spokesman

The Californian based Hewlett Packard, reported a 31% loss in its second quarter on a year ago
