NUA is seeking to appoint to its Council (the governing body) two new governors/trustees. The University is seeking applications from individuals who have senior experience in either of the private, public or third sectors.

Located in the centre of the city of Norwich, NUA is a highly regarded specialist arts, design and media university. The University traces it foundation back to 1845 and the establishment of the Norwich School of Design. Today the University has over 2,000 students and was awarded ‘gold’ in the latest Teaching Excellence Framework (TEF) assessment. The University is ranked in the top ten of the UK’s higher education institutions for teaching quality by The Times and The Sunday Times Good University Guide(2018). The University and its students have won many prestigious awards, most recently the TIGA games industry award for the UK’s Best Educational Institution.

The Council is at the heart of the University’s system of governance, and members exercise oversight of the University. Working with the Vice Chancellor, the executive team and Senate, the governing body is responsible for the stewardship of the institution, balancing its educational and business needs.

Applications are welcomed from all suitably qualified individuals, particularly women and those from minority ethnic groups. Individuals with expert knowledge of human resources, audit or higher education would be of particular interest.
